Counselling & Hypnotherapy

Counselling and Hypnotherapy for a number of issues

Support to suit you

I am basically a person centred counsellor. This means that we work with what you bring, at a pace that suits you, having established a trusting relationship. However, through an on-going program of Professional Development, I have many strategies and techniques that can be used to support you. Our work can be either short or long term, with you having control of this.

I am also trained in the use of:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Solution Based Therapy and Gestalt work, Mindfulness.

As a Life Coach and Hypnotherapist, we are also able to include work in these areas if it is felt appropriate.

We work on a sessional basis – usually arranging four appointments, at the end of which we build in a review of progress made and future needs.

I specialise in working with survivors of abuse

Recent or childhood based, having done this particular type of counselling since I first qualified. However, I do also work with all other areas.

I generally work with over 14 year olds and do have a current CRB check in place.

Other areas worked with include -

  • Bullying - workplace or school/college
  • Domestic issues including domestic violence and all forms of control
  • Rape and incest
