All about Dee
I am a qualified and experienced Therapist, Counsellor, Life Coach and Clinical Hypnotherapist. Read about my work, my qualifications and why I love to help people.

I trained as a Hypnobirthing practitioner in 2006, using the Mongan method and also with Katharine Graves.

I am a practising therapist as well as Hypnobirthing practitioner, allowing me to take on board any issues that may arise e.g. I have included fear of needles with one of my mums, and additional relaxation for a mum who came early in her pregnancy with many concerns about the forthcoming birth.

My life... So far

I have been practising as a Counsellor since 1997 and a Hypnotherapist since 2005, having retired from teaching (special needs advisory teacher) in 2007 and from my voluntary work with survivors of incest and rape, which I did for 20 years.

I have a private practice, based in my home, working on a range of issues, conditions and preparation classes.

I’m one of those people who loves to keep learning things – from what makes people tick with psychology and mental health, understanding anxiety and depression, reiki, reflexology – to dry stone walling. The first two have proved useful, but I still have to build that wall!

How I work

From my home

I can help you with Hypnotherapy, Counselling, Hypnobirthing, Hypnotherapy for Fertility, NLP and Life Coaching. If appropriate, I am happy to work via Skype or telephone - please get in touch for more information about this. Why not ask about the relaxation evenings I offer for you and a group of friends?

Distance Therapy

I provide distance therapy for those who prefer to talk over the phone, or by Skype on the internet. Watch the video below to learn more about the benefits of distance therapy.

Some people find it challenging to leave their home, whether for medical reasons, or time restraints I provide distance therapy from my home to yours.

  • Phone
  • Skype
  • Messengers

My preference for counselling is Skype as it is both easy and free to use, and allows us to see each other. Visual communication is an important aspect of successful therapy and so Skype video calling is perfect for getting to know each other.

If you prefer to simply call me up, or would like to discuss alternative methods to talk to me then I am happy to accommodate your needs, whether as an introduction to some face-to-face sessions, or as a permanent solution.

Guided visualisation for relaxation, tracks for therapeutic support or specific issues, positive affirmations – both written and spoken.
